Experienced Small Animal Vet

We have an excellent job opportunity for an experienced vet, who would like flexible hours, to join this enthusiastic and supportive team. Westway Vets is a 21 branch small animal practice spread across the North East of England. The practice includes a 3-tier hospital with 24 hour emergency care, a dedicated IFSM gold standard feline unit, a CT scanner and 5 operating hubs. Our practice has a large professional team with very skilled veterinary surgeons, some of whom are certificate holders, and a brilliant nursing team.

Salary is dependent on experience and the following benefits are also included:

ECC Night Veterinary Surgeon

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vet to join our well established hospital site on West Road, a 100% small animal practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We are progressive and friendly, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate person to complement our supportive team made up of both experienced vets (some of whom are certificate holders) and more recent graduates.

 

About us:

Our friendly, 15-site practice has been taking care of pets across the North East since 1975. We have branches across Tyne and Wear, Durham and Northumberland which are supported by our Tier 3 RCVS hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

This facility boasts a skilled RVN team, excellent operating and in house facilities including a CT scanner, on-site ultrasonography, digital x-ray, endoscopy, and a separate dedicated feline unit which has received Gold standard cat friendly clinic status.

We are constantly committed to achieving high clinical standards and providing excellent patient and client care. You can look forward to joining a forward thinking, sociable team that understand the importance of colleague wellbeing.

The role:

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working independently, ideally with a background of working a ECC caseload.

  • Monday to Sunday, 7 nights on, 14 nights off.
  • Working as part of an ECC team
  • Salary of £55,000 to £70,000 rising with experience.
